See What Happens When You Go Away!

While I was off stuffing the turkey and myself, it seems I was tagged. Tagged so many times I had to pick myself up off the ground from the hits (forgive me, but I think I missed one). Sheri - The Educated Genealogist, Becky - kinexxions, Sean On Family History, and George Geder - thank you! But what is left to tell?

Eight random facts/habits about myself? Would that be me, fM, or Shades. We're really all the same I guess, so here goes.

Fact/Habit 1:

Most of my friends and even some of my children do not know I am the footnoteMaven.

Fact/Habit 2:

I never throw out a magazine. I have copies from 1965 of some of my favorites. I know, they are older than some of you.

Fact/Habit 3:

I believe that "She who dies with the most fonts wins!" and I'm well on my way to winning.

Fact/Habit 4:

My husband and I own enough guns to take over a small banana republic. I shot competitive Trap and Skeet in my younger years. I was so good I made grown men cry (as I took the prize money).

Fact/Habit 5:

I am known for a razor sharp tongue. In law school it was said "I could smile sweetly while slicing my opponent off at the knees." I have made lawyers cry.

Fact/Habit 6:

I am often paralyzed by perfection. If it isn't, I can't.

Fact/Habit 7:

I am a diabetic, or so says my doctor. I believe however, that he is wrong. All my life I was very thin (I was often asked to turn sideways and stick out my tongue - I looked like a zipper). I denied myself my just desserts. So in this phase of my life I planned to eat my way through all the chocolate of the world. Somebody up there has a warped sense of humor. Spend the rest of my life eating a healthy diet, how cruel! It has to be a mistake.

Fact/Habit 8:

I have so many antique photographs in my collection that I've asked my husband to build an extra house on the property to hold them. This may have been an error in judgment, as he's designing one large enough to house me as well.

TMI - This is far too much information.

As for tagging . . . I'm so late, I couldn't find any bloggers that haven’t already been tagged. If you haven’t played yet, consider this your invitation!

The Rules:

1. Each player starts with eight random fact/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. A the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their name.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and to read your blog.

Note To Self:

Randy Seaver's game from Saturday night!

The rules:

* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence along with these instructions in a note to your blog (or a comment to this blog).

You gaze upon no one immodestly, but you yourself are looked at immodestly."

I now rescue every magazine I come across that is at least 10 years old. And I like reading them, too!

Killa,

And now I shall look at you in an entirely different light (see Fact/Habit 4). God help the rest of the world if we ever combine forces for something other than writing. ;-)

And, I do love you for Fact/Habit 5.

I love fact/habit 5 also. :)

Maybe you could take over a banana republic for the purpose of therein housing your antique photographs? You could have your own national institution!
