Ancestry Employees To Blog

The employees at Ancestry have started their own blog and have posted the following information. (No content has been added as the blog is still in the test mode.)

Welcome to the Ancestry Blog!
Here you will find informational, and sometimes fun, posts from the folks behind the scenes here at Ancestry. We hope you’ll notice just how passionate we are about family history and about the products we're building to help connect families over distance and time."
As of this date, Chris Lydiksen, Sr. Content Manager at, and Mark Allen are listed as blog post authors, but it looks as if they will be adding more employees.

The categories of posts they will be blogging about are:

* Ancestry Press
* Site
* Content
* Digitization
* DNA Ancestry
* Family Tree Maker
* Family Trees
* News
* Polls
* Press
* Products
* Publishing
* Site Features

So welcome to the world of GeneaBloggers Ancestry employees! We look forward to your insight and your contribution to the genealogical community.

If there was a "Gracious" award you should be the first in line to receive it. As for me... I await to see if this blog is "insular" (my new favorite word) or if they can freely express what they think :D :D

Gracious me!

I too look forward to this new blog.

As for the word "insular" I find myself using it a dozen times a day. I, however, attribute a different meaning to it than the conventional - isolated or narrow-minded.

I see it as having a rather warm and cozy meaning, such as sharing a private joke known only to the few who choose to get it.

I just checked it out. I couldn't find any reference to authors and right now there are no catagories. hmm

I'll check back with them but I don;t follow too many pro-genea-bloggers.
